The jumpsuit – another highlight

Referred to as a jumpsuit, overall, one-piece or simply a ‘combi’, the cult garment of the seventies and eighties has been experiencing a major revival for some time now. The one-piece has made an appearance at almost all fashion shows, looking très chic in delicate and flowing fabrics such as silk or jersey, but also in denim or linen.

The term jumpsuit first arose in the 1930s when paratroopers jumped out of aircraft in a one-piece garment. The overall also generated booming sales in the work world since the practical benefit of this work clothing lay in the fact that clothing did not slip or leave pressure marks on the body even after several hours.

Something to slip into and feel comfortable in: CALIDA created the one-piece for men and women in the early 1970s in line with this motto also. This brightly-coloured homewear was the first and thus a symbol of a new understanding of freedom and comfort.

In up-to-date trendy bright colours, the new combi is also part of the True Classics collection. Made of soft elastic terrycloth like the original, it entices the wearer to irresistible comfortable moments as loungewear at home or as nightwear for sleeping. Not least of all, it makes an ideal surprise gift or even a ‘must-have’ for all fans of this cult garment.

Narrow cut, simple styling, quick to put on and comfortable and casual as an outfit – the jumpsuit with a collar and a zip whets the wearer's appetite for retro moments. This collector’s item is available in limited numbers for a short time only at selected CALIDA retail points.
