Made in Green by OEKO-TEX®

A tradition of sustainability

By introducing the Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® label, we are underpinning our long-term sustainability strategy. As a customer, you are rightly interested in finding out how our products are made. Several years ago, we voluntarily committed ourselves to the BSCI standards of social responsibility, and our products are fully produced in compliance with the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

For years we have placed great emphasis on the highest standards of quality, social responsibility and ecological production as well as transparent communications. As our next step and as evidence of our achievements in the realm of sustainability we will be introducing an independent, internationally recognised label.

Stringent requirements from A to Z

Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® currently requires the most transparent and stringent certification for sustainably-produced textiles and enables detailed traceability along the supply chain. It combines the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and STeP by OEKO-TEX® requirements. It also applies to the finished products as well as the entire production chain. Made in Green certification requirements

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 has 300 inspection criteria to ensure that all materials including yarns, fabrics, threads, elastics and even the labels pose no health hazards.

Using a simple, traceable rating system, STeP by OEKO-TEX® encompasses all relevant sustainability aspects. The standard also requires using “green” chemicals instead of toxic or potentially hazardous substances in production.

Transparency thanks to product IDs and QR codes

Each item carrying the Made in Green label can be transparently traced using a unique product ID in the form of a number or QR code.

The product ID provides information about where the textile was produced along the textile chain, the stage of production in which the factories are involved and the countries where the items are made. Simply go to www.madeingreen.com and enter the product ID or scan the QR code with a barcode app on your smartphone.
