Karen Fleischmann, why do you campaign for sustainable fashion?
«As a model, I see behind the scenes of the textile industry and I soon realised how much needed to be improved. So I started to promote sustainable fashion on Instagram as the Sustainable Fashion Activist, highlighting exciting solutions and alternatives.»
It’s currently all about «Mix & Match». What styling tips can you give us?
«I love simplicity. That’s why I swear by stylish, highquality basics and add highlights like great jackets, unusual shoes and colourful accessories.»
What makes a great summer look for you?
«I like jumpsuits and dresses with colourful prints, made from light materials. Combined with vintage, 70s-style pieces, they create the perfect retro look.»
The «Superlight» loungewear styles by CALIDA would work well with that.
«Absolutely. I noticed that as soon as I wore them – the fabrics are so comfortable and give you a feeling of lightness and freedom. That suits me perfectly, as I’m
on the go a lot.»
