The perfect cycle: our Circular Collection
For us, love of nature doesn’t mean sacrifice – it means variety. In addition to new styles and looks, we are constantly developing innovative materials and finishes that meet the strict criteria of the voluntary Cradle to Cradle Certified® standard, which has been demonstrated through our 100% Nature line. As we move on into the new year, the line will retains its familiar quality but with a new name: THE CIRCULAR COLLECTION.

Sustainable before it was cool – CALIDA’s credo has run through its collections and collaborations for over 80 years. With the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver-Level certification, The Circular Collection by CALIDA continues this principle and brings circular fashion to daily wear. Clothes made from plant-based natural fibres such as TENCEL™, lyocell or cotton form the heart of the collection and give it its one-of-a-kind, long-lasting comfort.
Manufactured according to strict ecological standards in Europe, the line combines sustainability with vibrant colours and dynamic design. Proof that fashion can be stylish and environmentally conscious at the same time.
Our very first Cradle to Cradle Certified® shirt was a revolution in the fashion industry in 2018. This pioneering achievement turned into our successful 100% NATURE line, with ultra-soft underwear, casual loungewear, airy athleisure looks and gorgeous pyjamas for him and her. In 2023, we decided to give our favourite baby a new name: THE CIRCULAR COLLECTION.

In doing so, we want to make it even clearer that our Cradle to Cradle Certified® products can be fully and equally reused at the end of their life cycle as part of a sustainable circular economy. THE CIRCULAR COLLECTION expresses this forward-looking approach more than ever. Of course, this does not change the quality and variety of our products.
The Cradle to Cradle Certified® certification confirms that the products certified with the international product standard are recyclable. In this way, raw materials are used rather than wasted wherever possible and are demonstrably free from toxic substances. That's already pretty good for the environment, but it can be even better - together:
Should Cradle to Cradle Certified® products ever reach the end of their life, they can in principle be sent back to us for recycling and reintroduction into the cycle or returned to one of our stores. We ensure that all resources are fully and equally reused and that no waste is produced.
In 2016, CALIDA became the world’s first underwear brand to use the ‘OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN’ label. The product label is not only issued based on compliance with strict social responsibility and ecological criteria; it also certifies that the textiles carrying the label contain no harmful substances.
OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is one of the few labels that takes into account both of the textile industry’s main criteria: the materials used and the production process itself. It combines the certification requirements from OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and OEKO-TEX® STeP. A unique product ID allows you to trace the supply chain in detail via a QR code.
