According to an Italian tradition, …

... men and women should wear red underwear on New Year’s Eve if they want to find love, passion and eroticism in the coming year. The tradition probably dates back to Roman times when, under the rule of Emperor Augustus, red underwear was considered a lucky charm. So, just wear the right coloured undergarments and let love find you – sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Oh, if only it were that easy!

As with everything in life, there’s a catch – for the tradition to work and the love magic to work properly, there are two basic principles:

1.    The underwear must be a gift.

2.    The lingerie can only be worn on New Year’s Eve. In the interest of sustainability, we don’t take the second point too seriously – and besides, people aren’t usually in a hurry to take our pieces off again. 😉
