WORKING AT OUR HEADQUARTERS

The town of Sursee is located in the heart of Switzerland and has links to the key North-South route through Europe. What’s more, Zurich, Basel and Bern are just a one-hour drive away. Lucerne is around 15 minutes away.

Sursee train station (InterCity links and connection to the regional S-Bahn train network) is a mere 12-minute walk away from the headquarters in Sursee. The station boasts departures to Lucerne every 15 minutes and is only 40 minutes away from Bern.

Distance to major cities:

Sursee is located directly by Lake Sempach (Sempachersee) and is home to a wide array of shops, as well as a beautiful lakeside walkway. The town is surrounded by rolling hills, forests and rivers.

As well as offices, the CALDIA headquarters in Sursee also has a high-tech, heavily automated high-bay warehouse, a patterning workshop with a number of industrial sewing machines, two pattern stores, a photo studio, various creative studios, showrooms and a factory outlet.

Introduction:

We want you to feel welcome and at ease right from your very first day at work. We come up with a detailed plan before your first day to help introduce you to your personal area of work, providing you with a secure environment and structure for your first few weeks. A “Newcomers Day” (at the headquarters) attended by all new employees gives you the chance to meet other employees and learn more about how the company works. Regular feedback meetings during your trial period also promote exchange between yourself and your line manager.
CALIDA allows you to shape your career path yourself. Staff promotion and needs-based professional development are very important to us. Options in this field range from individual seminars and professional development courses through to part-time study alongside work. We actively support our managers in their work and train them with our own in-house leadership programme. Effective, motivated employees are very important to CALIDA, which is why staff are supported by HR development measures, annual performance reviews and target agreements

Our stores bring together a number of interesting areas of work in order to showcase CALIDA as a premium and appealing brand. All of our stores are based in interesting locations and no two stores are the same! The interior design is adapted to the store’s local area. CALIDA embodies innovation and the ultimate in quality – these two values are reflected in our three premium collections launched each year, as well as in the basic range sold at our stores.

The working environment in our stores is dynamic, service-oriented and anything but monotonous. Team work encourages productivity, creativity and flexibility, enabling employees to take initiative and bear responsibility. It therefore forms the core of our outstanding sales figures.

A carefully compiled introduction pack containing everything you need to know for a smooth start is handed over on your first day of work. Your line manager will work closely with you during your first few months, providing you with a quick introduction to your area of work and helping you to understand the corporate structure and culture.
